Leadership 911 Conversations

It's an immediate need:  a consult to bounce ideas, share frustrations and agree on a strategy for a successful outcome.

  

30 minutes - 1 hour

  

 Write down the facts and then let's have a call to discuss:

  • C ... Conflict:  What's happening?  What has lead to this point?    
  • P ... People     What's been said?   How is the team feeling?
  • R ... Resolution    Ideally, how would you like to proceed?  and most importantly, what's best for the business?   


If necessary, we engage partners 

(for example, Employment Lawyer)

  

We prepare, think thoroughly through the situation, it's impact on the team, the business

and we can role play the difficult conversation too.  


Preparing documents, planning for the conversation as well as leadership messaging to the team, is how I support Leaders and teams.

People Issues Keeping You Up at Night

I Worry:


  • One person is toxic to team morale.
  • Performance is simply not improving (beyond endless promises and commitments.)
  • Team member's bad attitude is starting to affect the team, our customers and our company performance.
  • This is one bad hire.


I'm afraid I might not say the right thing.  I'm afraid I've waited (delayed) too long.  I might not have taken notes or correctly documented coaching and conversations.

What to Expect

First let's understand the current situation:  let's review the facts, the notes, the strategies to support and the employee's responses.


Does the employee know that their role is in jeopardy?  


Let's take time to pause.  


Then if necessary, let's engage key partners and activate an action plan.  This could move quickly to an exit conversation or if we need to allow time, then let's create a plan, an opportunity to demonstrate improvement.


Strategize and activate.  There's no more time to waste.
